Salaries for Postdoctoral Positions

  • The minimum salary for postdoctoral positions is $47,476 per year, effective December 1, 2017 through December 31, 2022.
  • As of January 1, 2023, the minimum salary for postdoctoral positions will be $50,000 per year.
  • The NIH stipend rates for NRSA fellows may also be used as suggested guidance (e.g., FY2022 rates here).
  • All grant proposals that support postdoctoral positions are strongly encouraged to include a 3% annual escalation for the salaries of postdocs.
